For the last couple of months, we have been receiving requests to support ATSC 3.0. For the uninitiated, ATSC 3.0 is the latest and most promising broadcast technology that can help save expensive network costs and deliver content to remote, hard-to-reach areas where traditional connectivity methods like internet or cable might be absent, limited, or unreliable.

Though ATSC 3.0 is currently available in limited countries like the USA, South Korea, Brazil, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago, it is very likely that more countries will adopt it due to the technology’s inherent advantages. For now, ATSC 3.0 is drawing a lot of interest in the United States, which is not surprising given that it has one of the world’s most outrageous cellular data costs.
